FUNDRAISING INFORMATION:
Box Tops for Education
Please clip Box Top coupons - each one is worth 10 cents for our school! Please make a bag for your home to hang in a convenient location in your kitchen to remind you to collect the Box Tops. Remember that they can be found on products from MANY different brands (ex: Klenex), not just cereal boxes! Please visit www.boxtops4education.com for a complete list of participating brands and to learn more about how you can help our school. Vist the website also to enter Hemby Bridge to win Box Tops in a sweepstakes!
Invest In A Kid
This is the PTO's MAIN fundraiser for the year. This fundraiser is vital in continuing the current PTO Programs and in assisting the school. The students ask for a simple donation from family and friends. The person making the donation is also asked to take an interest in the child's school progress. Donations are 100% tax deductible. All money is used for the school and reward programs. There is nothing to sell! Please contact Teri Bird with any questions. Please support this PTO fundraiser! Grocery Store Rewards
Please remember to link your Harris Teeter VIC Card (HBES # 1964) to Hemby Bridge. Our school will receive quarterly checks based on your purchased. Please remember that cards must be re-linked every year! Visit Harris Teeter's Website to link. You can also link your Target Credit Card to Hemby Bridge.
Campbell's Labels for Education
The Labels for Education program is a great way to get FREE merchandise for our school! There are now over 150 products worth 5 points!! Visit www.labelsforeducation.com for more details and a complete list of participating products. Our goal is to collect 12,000 points! PLEASE REMEMBER TO TURN IN THE UPC CODE FROM THE PRODUCTS WHEN TEARING OFF THE LABELS!

Family Restaurant/Fun Nights
On designated nights, local restaurants donate a percentage of the proceeds to Hemby Bridge. Check the school's calendar on the home page for the schedule! Student prizes will be awarded at each event! If you have questions or ideas for family nights, please contact Cathy Cassidy.

PTO Information Packets
In September information from the PTO is sent home to each family. The materials in the packet explain the events sponsored by the PTO and details on how you can volunteer at Hemby Bridge. Please contact Teri Bird if you need a packet of information.
Volunteering
We love our volunteers! There are many ways to support Hemby Bridge through volunteering. Our volunteers make this an awesome school! To volunteer, you must complete an application through the main office and receive approval through UCPS. To receive an application to be sent home with your student email Misty Caruso in the front office. Please contact the volunteer coordinator listed in Committee Chairs to volunteer for any HBES events such as: Lunch Relief, Mentor Program, Newsletter, Holiday Shop, Book Fair, Beautification, Office Help, Computer Lab, Media Center, Accelerated Reader, Vision & Hearing Screenings, Picture Days, Career Days, Family Dance, Family Nights at Sporting Events, or Invest In a Kid.
Hemby Bridge PTO Needs Help!
PLEASE consider serving on the PTO board as a chair or co-chair of a committee to continue the great traditions of the Hemby Bridge PTO for many years to come. Our children will be the ones who miss out if we don’t step up to help! Please stop by the school to pick up a volunteer application if you are not already an approved volunteer (this takes several weeks to process). If you are interested in becoming involved in the PTO, please contact the PTO President.
PTO Membership Drive
The PTO Membership Drive is in September, but you can join at any time. Membership is $5/person. Please encourage family (grandparents!) and friends to join, too! Although we love volunteers, you do not have to volunteer to join! If you have any questions, please contact Cindy Adamski.
